As an intern for the Advertising Sales Team in Los Angeles, you’ll have the opportunity to get an in-depth understanding of the important function of Ad Sales in the cable industry. This internship will focus on learning about advertising sales and how a major cable network operates. You will also get to work in an environment with some of the most creative and innovative professionals in their field.
During this internship, you will have the opportunity to participate in the Advertising Sales Project by working with the Ad Sales Assistants to interpret a spec sheet, read available inventory, submit requests for moves and execute the moves/changes in Broadway (internal system used by Scripps).
Preferred Field of Study and SkillsThe ideal candidate will be currently pursuing a degree in communications, business, marketing or any related field and have strong computer skills, including advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, and some computer programming skills.
This internship will give the ideal candidate an opportunity to gain an understanding of the different steps involved in the execution of high profile advertising buys and the steps taken in the execution from when the AE brings the deal in to taking it to the TV screen in front of millions of viewers.
