The Colts and Ponies asked the eagle why do the stallions ride with the mare. And why does the mare or stallion abstain from riding with each other at times. Well a stallion that loves his mare prefers to only ride with her. But some male wild horses try to ride every female horse they meet instead of mating with one for life. And some wild female horses do the same thing with riding all the stallions that let them. All horses start as Colts and Ponies and are part of a family. And we are supposed to treat all horses, stallions, and mares, Colts and Ponies the same like a respectful family. Stallions are male adult horses, and mares are adult female horses.
